Cathedral Wedding
What are the rules for a wedding at the Cathedral of St. Patrick?
I will be married in St Patrick's Cathedral in New York. Does anyone know if my dress wedding and bridesmaids dresses must have shoulder straps on them? Are there restrictions on wedding party clothes? In addition, we are allowed to take pictures at the altar after the ceremony? Is there still enough time?
Catholic weddings usually require humility on the part of the bride and her attendants. Every wedding I've been Catholic, brides and bridesmaids dresses have long sleeves. However, some more liberal churches allow the veil that covers the shoulder. St. Patrick's in New York is not a liberal church. If you look at your wedding page, are quite strict on the music selections, so I guess it will be strict as to cover the shoulders.
